Wale "Chillin'"

"billionaire frames that's money on my mind"

New Cool N Dre produced Wale is flowing around the internet, but at the request of elitaste I'm not going to throw it up. Too much respest for the cats. Sounds straight though, a little bit of an "Arab Money" thing on it, however.

From elitaste:
Please do me a favor and don’t spread unfinished demo songs. Judging by our free internet releases, we are clearly cool with sharing music but when you post something that’s not finished and people check it out, that could be their first time hearing Wale and that’s not giving a new artist a fair shot. We have worked so hard to only put out the highest quality material and when someone goes and leaks a demo song passing it off as a finished product or official, it can be very harmful. So please, if you see something out there that’s not on here, don’t spread it and let me know about it (yes, I know, very unrealistic). Thanks.

Mixtape - Adele & Mick Boogie: 1988

You already got a taste of Adele's Mick Boogie remixed album yesterday with the Naledge joint. Here's the whole thing. This tape's got Adele's vocals reimagined over classic hip-hop beats from that foul year of our lord, 1988. Rapper Big Pooh's gotta nice lookout on here, as does 6th Sense. Adele Feat. Naledge "First Love" Remot Remix

"that's probably why i felt that we should end it
and that other dude's in your top friend list"

Adele is an English singer who Mick Boogie has decided to put together a remix album of her tracks. I'm with the idea. This is a little sample with half of Kidz in the Hall on what will become known as 1988, titled after Adele's birthday. We(me) here at Bringin'88Back couldn't argue for a better album title.

Kanye West Feat. Big Sean & Mr. Hudson "Paranoid" Remix

"i wouldn't be real if i ain't have my fair share like stock exchange"

The youngest and newest of the G.O.O.D. fam jump on what seems to be the remix track of choice from 808. Actually, it might be between this track and "Say You Will" in the revision department. This is off that New Deal mixtape I posted up the other day.

Kardinal Offishall Feat. Dr. Dre & Pusha T "Set it Off" Remix

"i was gone for a minute but i'm back to get it on again
refuse to lose, the champion"

This is what is says on NahRight, via Skee:

We (Skee.TV) shot the “Set It Off” video for Kardinal ft. The Clipse, and Jimmy Iovine loved it and sent it to Dre direct (since we had the Beats By Dre headphones in it). Then, Dre loved the song & video so much he was inspired to do a verse on it that night (I got called by the label the next day saying Dre rapped on it after being inspired by our video- a pretty good feeling). This was when he was still trying to come out with Detox this year and he wanted to start hopping on records… needless to say, those plans later changed, and thus the remix never came out (it just leaked somehow today, but was done months ago), but it is 100% real and official…

I would believe that, especially the part about Dre writing his own verse. Not the most lyrical genius to ever grace a track. Still exciting though.

Wow. That takes balls.

Big Game for Deon Thompson

Ah, I miss UNC basketball. I got to catch the game via an internet feed but it got pretty laggy. That's not a word, but it was full of lag. I did, however, still get to witness Deon's 22 point outing, a career high I believe. Tyler Hansbrough is also approaching Phil Ford's UNC scoring record which he is only nine points shy of now. That one's a big one, but I have my eye set out for J.J. Redick's ACC record of 2,769 points. Tyler is sitting at 2,282 and there is 21 regular season games left. So, not counting the ACC or NCAA tournaments that I am hoping UNC will make (very) deep runs into, Tyler could actually break the record by the end of the season by averaging a little over 23 points a game. That may be a stretch, but with the help of tourny games, I think the kid can do it. And he's gotten this far without the help of 3 pointers.

Video - Charles Hamilton "Brooklyn Girls"

So, in case you guys have been missing it, there's been a whole deal about the last tape Charles dropped, The Pink Lavalamp, that was supposed to rap up the Hamiltonization Process over at OnSmash but instead surfaced on ThisIs50. Anyways, that happened and so did a subsequent "beef" between Charles and Soulja Boy. Now there's a whole conspiracy theory going on about the entire situation, which you can read here. Still, "Word? Aight!" is now a diss track aimed at SB, either real, or fake.

"Still, a number of exciting new discoveries were made," Tinsley continued. "We learned that RZA does in fact come from the same royal bloodline as Prince Rakim, and that Method Man, as many have suspected in the past, always holds the mic sideways when bustin'."
