Naledge "I'm in Chicago, Bitch" [Conair Remix]

So, I'm sitting in the library trying to get my last ish done before spring break starts and Conair has me all distracted sending his remix to Naledge's a capella. He's responded to the call out. Chubster.

Once I get the go ahead and a working link I'll throw it up.

Why I Hate Duke - Part 2: The Flopping

If you keep up with college basketball - and by college I mean the ACC because it is the only one worth actually following - you know Dook is notorious for getting away with murder when it comes to officiating, i.e. see last Why I Hate Duke post. Well, there has been one particular problem that has plagued the ACC and greater basketball community as a whole since Coach K began his tenure. The fucking flopping.

I blame it on the referees for giving Dook too much credit for historically being a good defensive team. Charges are a difficult thing to pull off if you are a defensive player [another reason I think Tyler Hansbrough is still the best college basketball player in the country; that man knows how to draw a charge]. You almost always have the disadvantage because there are a lot of factors going into a correct charge call. Feet planted, established permission, all that jazz. Officials mostly will either just call the blocking foul, or nothing at all. I can live with the non-call, but when you start handing out charges to a team because of its reputation it gets to be absurd. Shane Battier was notorious for this back in his stay at Hansbrough Indoor Stadium. I apologize for not being able to find a video, but his rep has carried over to the NBA. Bull shit, I watched him and K's trickery for too many years to know this is not legit.

Say Battier is a charge taker though, the rest of Dook is not. Yet, they all will still get calls. I would love to witness the first day of practice in which Coach Weasel instructs his players how to start falling before a player reaches them.

Listen to the people laugh at him.

The problem exceeds further than just charge calls. These guys drop like flies. Check out the former duo of Redick and Deng.

Redick's ability my ass.

Look at the bench's eagerness to get all huffy at the refs. Who said they weren't smart.

Danny Green has solved this flopping scenario though.

Really though the conclusion is simple, they fall down like Jenga blocks.

Enjoy this compilation with my favorite fainting goats (no not the Dookies).

Charles Hamilton "NewGirlfriendMusic" & "Way Cool"

"white girls love me i'm playin' them all
only clarissa be explaining it all"

What? Charles has got two more projects? Why would I act surprised. There's nothing else to expect at this point. I had to exclude about eight of Charles' tapes from my iPod because his catalog is getting too deep. Wait, that's not a problem. Look for "New" to be featured on This Perfect Life and "Way" on Excellence of Execution.

Feeling "Way" much more. I used to watch Clarissa Explains it All like a fiend. That's the theme song if you were questioning that sample. Melissa Joan Hart back in her Thomas Tucker High days, key.

Leaders of the New School "Emotional" [Unreleased]

"please throw butter on my pancake please"

I remember how hype I got a long ways back when a "Scenario" demo dropped. not as excited about this, but it's still a good day when you get some unreleased throwback from some Native Tongues.

Nero "Day 'N' Nite" Remix

"he seems alive but it's a stagnant flow
so there's no essence of a brag or boast
boast"

Nero is late, but it's OK, he had this track first. He does his thing.

Why I Hate Duke: Part 1 - Video Evidence

So, maybe I should just throw one of these posts up a day until the game on Sunday (which I got tickets too, be jealous), because it needs to be shown how much I do in fact hate those bastards. My apologies to Mike Posner, but man that basketball team makes me angry.

Here's some video evidence from this year of the way Duke has been able to control the officiating situation, and has been able to for some time. I was witness to the Scheyer debacle the other day, yet this second clip with Elliot Williams - Duke's highly touted frosh who I haven't seen much from, except since being inserted into the starting lineup has apparently made Duke all of the sudden twelve times better, a claim I do not support, just look at the scores of the games they have been "so much better in" - blows the first out of the water on no calls.

See, this one is bad because it was a late game shoulda'-been-call and VT wasn't completely out of the game at this point. Had there been a turnover on Duke's half of the court the outcome may have differed. Side note: I saw a Dookie put up this same video claiming Scheyer was getting mugged. It's called defense, get used to it. Plus, I've had to watch Hansbrough get cold-clocked almost every game this season.

This is just silly. Especially with it being in a game pitting 8 and 9 ranks against each other. There are ramifications involved.

More of why I hate Duke tomorrow. Maybe I'll mention the flopping thing...

XV Feat. Tanya Morgan "Somethin' Better"

"rappers gotta realize be are self-governed
so we should all practice being more stubborn"

What is that? Some new Tribe Called Tanya and XV. Continuing my very short list of famous people in my phone with Donwill, I have to include this.

Keri Hilson Feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo "Knock You Down"

"hey young world, i'm the new slick rick"
"omg, you listen to that bitch/woe is me, baby this is tragic

This here sounds like something you'd hear on the jam box. I love how artists like to drop their own songs into lyrics, i.e. Ne-Yo singing "Miss Independent." Kanye also rips a verse, hard, for dense minute.

Naledge "I'm In Chicago, Bitch" A Capella

Here goes the a capella version of that LMAO remix that was thrown up the other day. FSD offered to post up any versions sent to it with a beat thrown behind it. Conair, you listening?

Naledge & Chip the Ripper "The Oprah Song"

"haters can't see me like where's waldo,
shootin' for the greens similar to nick faldo"

Naledge is by far the hardest working MC in the Chi. How do you feel about the chorus? I like it.

M.I.A. "Bucky Dun Pulled Up the Gun on Jimmy [Death to the Throne Remix]" a.k.a. "New M.I.A. Song"

This is only a remix of a couple M.I.A. tracks, mostly from Arular, that Death to the Throne put together. Pretty good.

Asher Roth "20 Minute Freestyle"

"now i'm the rap king, and everybody calls me simba because i'm the young buck taking it all"

This goes with all those freestyles Asher did over the last week in the UK. Just going on for 20 minutes. Worth the post just for sheer length. I also like how Tim Westwood kept dropping Eminem beats. The "Fresh Prince" was hot too.
